dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes graphical methods for designing steel truss nodes sheets in engineering drawings, presents design system of a truss nodes. Graphical system can design steel plain truss nodes, form specification table of objects. There are two problems for designing of truss nodes sheets: dimensions of a sheet and hidden lines of a sheet. The dimensions of a truss node sheet depend on the length of the bars welding seams and the slanted axes of the bars. A sheet size has to ensure the length of welds. Slanted axes have to touch the corners of a node sheet so that the truss node remains articulated in computational scheme. The hidden lines of a sheet are inside two angled bars. Example of truss nodes project with specification table is presented. Creation problems of automated design system are discussed and conclusions are made.eng
