The main task at design of a machine and production of its parts is to solve {he problem of effective accuracy achieving. Mechanical student must he able to solve this task. In machine design the accuracy of a machine is achieved by the adequate solution of its dimension chains. At analysis of a machine the mechanical engineer, so the student should exactly see dimensions or turns of parts of a machine forming the dimension chain and on the ground of it to calculate accuracy dependencies of a machine. Forming of a dimension chain is closely connected with location theory of purls in a machine. For that reason the student also must know the location theory. Analysis of dimension chains enables to s imp lift accuracy achieving of a machine and improve design of it. At complex cases of dimensional analysis using of dimension chains enable more easily to find necessary solution than in' the miv of rectorial analysis. All tills emphasizes necessity to present the theory of dimension chains to the students. Examples of accuracy and dimensional solution of some design schemes of machines and ways of student familiarization with the subject are described in the paper.eng
