A six-phase model of business partners' selection

The paper presents the original model for the selection of business partners, which is targeted to t strengthen, in principle, the justification of the decisions to be taken thereof. The model under conside-I ration consists of the following six interrelated components: searching for partners, preliminary selec-I tion, complex evaluation, negotiation with potential partners, signing the contracts, monitoring contract implementation. Links among the components and solving all the tasks using the model are supported by ' integrated database of the partnership objects and potential as well as actual business partners. In this context, the evaluation of business partners is considered as a multicriteria task of ranking alternatives. The similarity function of partnership objects as well as the three-level-criteria system are adapted for solving this task.
