Abstract
This paper is a study to the research on stresses in pathological elastic arteries. This research elaborates on the influence of blood flow to the vessel in elastic stenotic arteries. Algorithm, which is easy to adjust to real conditions for calculation was developed. Numerical analysis with fluid structure interaction was used. Practical use of the algorithm in examining the elastic stenotic arteries was suggested. The results of the study reveal that danger of rupture lies in the area before the neck of stenosis of 70% (at blood pressure acceding 200 mmHg), 80 % (at blood pressure acceding 150 mmHg), and over 90%.
