Abstract

In Architecture, as in life - some projects are realized, some fall into the drawer. Some are lucky enough to get exclusive attention from peers or society. VGTU graduate architect Rolandas Palekas admits he is disquiet about every of his creations. However, according to the architect, there is no object that is more or less important than others. "I cannot do my work carelessly. Česlovas Milošas once said that if one is a creator, who strives to achieve certain results, one has to concentrate and be immersed in their work in order to achieve the desired result. Sometimes, even relatives of the creator do not understand such dedication for work. It may be because of this, artists often have problems with their families. One needs a special person beside, who would understand them. The more I realize that I could do things differently, the more restless I feel. I feel even worse when I realize that there could be more good things added to a building that is already built. There is no such building that could not be improved," says architect Rolandas Palekas, who is disquiet about every of his creations.
