Vilniaus apskrities bendrojo plano koncepcijos idėjos

Abstract

In the meantime plenty of municipalities of Lithuania are preparing master regional plans. However, no master plan has been confirmed so far. Until now there has been no methodical instructions that could help organize planning process effectively. What is more, no issues regarding the quality and other aspects of such work have been considered. Therefore it is worth analyzing the practice of the regional planning, focusing on the methods applied and thus sharing the experience. During the study the research has been carried out with the aim to learn of the goals and objectives of the regional development, to find out what methodology is applied during the project preparation process, and to prepare the concept for the master plan of Vilnius region. The results of the research are presented in this article.
