An analysis of reverse and green logistics: theoretical aspects

Abstract
The paper aims to review and discuss the major problems of reverse and green logistics. The main task is to analyze the development of the term ‘green logistics’ as well as describing the current situation and role of environmentalism in today’s world and particularly in logistics industry. The paper also aims to present and analyze the main strategies of green logistics, to describe the role of green logistics in transportation system and to analyze the relationships between green and reverse logistics. Since the environmental problems are particularly relevant nowadays, logistical system is no exception. Recently, the issue of green logistics or environmentally-friendly logistics has become one of the primary concerns for organizations and it is worth analyzing. In the present article, efforts are made to define a concept of reverse logistics and show its applicability to solving business problems.
