Peculiarities of present geodynamic processes in the Northeastern Lithuania
Santrauka
Goal of work was determination of Earth crust present movements intensity in this region and their variation in time based on geodetic observations newest data. The above-mentioned region was selected based on knowledge of previous research that intense geodynamic processes are going on there. Fluctuation of movement features in time was stated. But this statement was not documented enough by observation data. New data of First Order Vertical Network of Lithuania observations have provided possibility to improve results of previous research. New data on features of present geodynamic processes were obtained in this region. Based on levelling results of 1935/6, 1948, 1968, 1970, 1980, 1985/87, 1998, 2005, 2006 was determined that amplitude of Earth crust vertical movements velocities reaches 5-6 mm per year in the polygon Vilnius-Jonava-Zarasai-Turmantas-Vilnius. From mathematical statistical analysis of observation results with 95% probability was determined that Earth crust movements are of swinging manner. Region Zarasai-Turmantas in relation to Vilnius-Jonava is uprising up to 4-5 mm per year during last 25 years. Geodynamic processes of such intensity should be estimated when precise levelling is performed.
