At present ventilating structure of two diagrams is used for flat roofing. These are flat roofing’s with or without ditches (air channels) in the layer of thermal insulation material. Besides air channels, two layers of mineral wool of different compressive strength or one layer double-density mineral wool can be used, laying a damp-proof course on it. In the other case, special mineral wool plate with ditches every 200 mm is used for ventilation of flat roofing thermal insulation material. A cross-section dimension of the ditch is 30 by 20 mm. These plates are laid insomuch as ditches would have service with outside air. On one side, generally, a ventilated parapet is mounted and, on the other side, these ditches are converged into channels that are cut square to ditches. Hard mineral wool plate is laid on the top. This top layer performs several functions: under it chambers for air circulation form; damp-proof course is sticked up at it, hard mineral wool plates increase roof frame failure resistance during roof mounting, when workers are walking on the unfinished roof. In order to find out, which of these roof frames is more favourable and more effective, from the viewpoint of heat retention and moisture storage, an experimental research of these two roof frames was carried out.eng
