| dc.description.abstract | The subject of paper is to present information about Geographic Information System (GIS) in the Lithuania and discussed related problems. In the four universities teach GIS or subject with GIS contents. They are the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Vilnius University, Pedagogic University and University in Klaipeda. In all departments course of GIS or with GIS contents are a part of master and doctor degree studies. The students in these courses are introduced to data base creations, management, data analyses and visualisation. GIS study programs are analysed in this article. Also, analyses how much a GIS subject credits are in the all institutions. Explore the contribute problem the private sectors and education. | eng |
