Abstract
According to research new service development (NSD) is a major competitive factor for the service industry. This article reviews alternative approaches to new product development and new service development. There were recognized distinctions between product and services in the article and determined, that model of new service development must be different from the model of new product development because of special features of services. Additionaly there was suggested the new model of new services development in this article. New model of development of new services consists of six stages. In order to create the new model were used other models and approaches of development of new services, which were considered in all its aspects.
