Abstract

A graduate of the Faculty of Creative Industries and the University photographer, Simas Bernotas captures the individuality of people and reveals their personalities. ‘‘Anyone with aesthetic perception and the ability to visualize may become a photographer. Learning to manage a camera is very important but everything a photographer needs is in the artist himself“ – Bernotas believes. According to the photographer, after graduating from the Faculty of Creative Industries of the VGTU, he understood the reason for the existence of some factors in society. Such knowledge helped him to reject consumer culture. The photographer now clearly understands the saying: ‘‘We have a job we hate, we buy things we do not need, in order to prove something to people we hate...“
