| dc.description.abstract | Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy is a very promising and practical method for rapid and reliable food quality inspection. However, the issues related to water absorption, scattering of the medium and unambiguous detection of extremely small concentration of contaminants need to be overcome. This work show the capabilities of THz time domain spectroscopy to identify the contaminated and adulterated foods. The performance of this technique is studied on edible oils, caffeine containing foods and consumable plant leaves. | eng |
