Šiuolaikinis žmogus imasi nemirtingumo projektų
Abstract
It is the idea that professor Vita Pašukonienė, Head of the Laboratory of Immunology at the National Cancer Institute, doctor in Biomedical Sciences and professor at the Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), believes in by analysing the course of modern medicine. The success depends not only on medical staff; a breakthrough could be achieved only by working hand in hand with the latest technological advancements. The professor gives a piece of advice: “If your dream to become a doctor didn’t come true, the studies in technologies can take you very close to that dream”. However, the joyful prospects of immortality and longer quality life will also present us with a number of challenging ethical issues; thus, we must start looking for answers now.
