Serviceability rating of bridges

Abstract

One of the simplest ways of assessing existing structures is the use of rating marks, classes or grades for each bridge or its elements. Different rating systems have been developed and are widely used in many countries. A rating system to diagnose the condition of bridges in service is proposed, which has been used for the assessment of bridges in city of Vilnius, as well as to formulate their long term maintenance and repair programmes.

Eksploatuojamų tiltų ar jų elementų būklę galima paprasčiausiai vertinti balais arba klasėmis. Įvairios vertinimo sistemos sukurtos ir taikomos daugelyje šalių. Pasiūlyta tiltų būklės vertinimo metodika, kuri buvo panaudota Vilniaus miesto viadukams vertinti bei ilgalaikei jų priežiūros ir remontų programai sudaryti.
