Abstract
Transposition of construction works EC Directive 89/106 and his essential requirement "Protection against noise" in Lithuanian legislation, initiated revision of corresponding part in building code. As the new approach in this technical regulation was suggested adopt for use the sound classes system. Research of differences in available classification systems shows advantages for Lithuanian conditions of four classes system as defined in the INSTA standard project 122:1998 "Sound classification of dwellings". Like in dose-effect relation for environmental noise assessment, relationships for the estimation of the noise annoyance are used for regulation of sound insulation measures in dwellings. The level of 30 % of annoyed person was accepted for determination С sound class limit values. The experience of implementation of the spectrum adaptation terms C, as defined in LST EN ISO 717-1 for air-born and in LST EN ISO 717-2 for impact sound insulation was learned from Norsk Standard NS 8175:1997 and Svensk Standard SS 02 52 67. Advantages of the sum of weighted sound reduction index and spectrum adaptations term as a single number rating in compare with more strict values of weighted sound reduction index remain under consideration.
