Microsilica tested as a component for the binder of a medium-cement refractory castable

Abstract

The interaction between components of the binder of a medium-cement refractory castable at drying and sintering temperatures up to 1250degreesC is studied. Microsilica taken in the proportion I : 10 to 7 : 10 to Gorkal-40-grade cement was shown to play a role in the formation of new phases of the binder.
