In the study the laser cutting for the generation of micro- and nanoparticles is applied. Particles can later be separeted according to their size in the flow of technological gas by using a filter system. The generation of particles is discussed in the article when a steel strip of thickness of 0.2-0.6 mm is cut with the pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The changes in the chemical composition and size of the generated particles collected in the filter system are evaluated. Gas flow in the tube of smooth surface of the diameter of 30 mm is modeled when the distance between the generation and collection sites is 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 m. The analysis of Mössbauer spectra, which show full or partial oxidation of particles collected in different cascades of filters, is presented.eng
