Senų pastatų inžinerinių geologinių sąlygų įvertinimas, jų deformacijos ir nuosėdžių analizė
Abstract
The foundation settlement analysis of the re-onstructed structures is presented. The construe-on experience showed that the main reason for the rall cracking is the different settlement of the struc-ire foundations. The settlement can be evoked by le geological composition of the base and by hu-lan impact in the past or in the present. Analysis f the settlement of the Riga Castle buildings and le building of the Klaipeda city automatic tele- phone station is the most typical and interesting example. We can greatly increase the foundation loads in reconstructed structures if their foundations are installed in inorganic natural soils. Soils are consolidated in the course of time and therefore their strength increases. The increase can be calculated from formulas (1) and (2). Walls of the structures are usually cracked if the foundations of the reconstructed structures are installed in the man-made ground or in soils with organics or peat admixtures. The cracks are particularly big if during the previous reconstruction the loads have been increased. The foundations of such structures must be underpinned. The underpinning with jacked piles is especially suitable. We can know the limit load capacity and design load for every pile according to the acting forces. As a result we can be sure that the normal exploitation of the structures will be safe.
