The requirements for sulfate resisting common cement according harmonized European standard EN 197-1 are analyzed in this paper. Limited content of C3A (0-5 %) in the clinker is the main requirement for sulfate resisting portland cement CEM I. The types of blastfurnace cement CEM III.'B and CEM 1II/C are considered as sulfate resisting without additional requirements. The pozzolanic Cement CEM IV/A and CEM IV/B with natural pozzolana and/or siliceous fly ash is considered as sulfate resisting, but the CiA content in the clinker should be ≤9 %.eng
