Abstract
Sound power measurements using sound pressure techniques are well described in standarts. Sound power measurements using sound intensity are not yet described in any international standarts. Two measurement methods, namely the sound pressure ) and sound intensity methods, are analysed and compared. The problem of sound power determination concerns not only the acoustic power values of whole machines but of their elements too. The application examples and some practical hinds to the user of this measurement techniques are given in this paper.
