The rise of life expectancy and decline of fertility creates unique situation when society’s consumption needs cannot outpace its productive capacity. The crucial impact of population aging on our standard of living in the future depends on how long people choose to work before and after they retire. An arrangement of tools can raise labor force participation at older ages and bridge employment comes as a solution to this challenge. The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework for analysis of bridge employment. It allows disclosing those factors that affect economic active transition from career to retirement. The paper employs qualitative research of success cases in bridge employment and identifies the stages of decision making as well the factors that determine this engagement in paid work after retirement.eng
