dc.description.abstract | It is necessary to use probability-based formats in design practice of steel beams. Probability-based approaches for assessment and prediction of three types steel beams (simply supported, fixed at both end and continuous with three equal spans) exposed permanent, imposed sustainable and extraordinary live loads are presented. The instantaneous survival probability of steel beam is considered. It is shown the time-dependent survival probability calculation by the method of transformed conditional probabilities. The numerical example illustrates the time-dependent reliability index calculation of steel beams. | eng |
