Abstract

ESPON teritorinio bendradarbiavimo rezultatai dar kartą pagrindžia, jog ryšių tarp miesto ir kaimo svarbos pripažinimas yra pagrindinė sąlyga sėkmingai regioninei plėtrai. ESPON taip pat atkreipia dėmesį į mažųjų bei vidutinio dydžio miestų poziciją Europos politinėje arenoje, kuri ligi šiol nėra aiški, nors tokių gyvenviečių vaidmens svarba akivaizdi darniam regionų vystymuisi. Todėl ESPON pabrėžia, jog priimant politinius sprendimus teritorinės plėtros ir sanglaudos srityje būtina turėti ateities integruotas vizijas Europos teritorinei plėtrai ir jomis sekti. Minėtų aktualijų ir sukauptų ESPON rezultatų pagrindu, šiame straipsnyje pateikiame 3 teritorinės plėtros vizijos scenarijus 2050 m.

ESPON investigations of territorial cooperation once again underline the import ance of an appropriate array of c onsolidation of Urban-Rural relationship as a fundamental precondition of successful regional development. At the same time, European small and medium sized towns are hardly considered subjects in EU policy yet, but their important role within the wider regional and functional context has been defined as evidential. Therefore, in field of territorial development and cohesion we are in need of a future oriented and integrated vision on the de velopment of the European territory. In this paper are provided three ESPON scenarios that gives a direction to the territorial development for 2050.
