Abstract
This work aims at the numerical simulation and analyzation of inkjet droplet impact on a surface. The investigation is performed on the background of a printing process, whereby all phases the droplet undergoes are considered. The underlying printing process is modelled by the software Comsol Multiphysics with the purpose to investigate the suitability of ink for inkjet printhead nozzles. The following sections comprise of a problem description, details on the applied simulation methodology and a discussion of the obtained numerical results. The latter show the importance of the droplet velocity history when considering the influence of adhesion.
