Abstract
Contamination of industrial gas with fine and ultrafme particulate matter (PM) is increasingly common in various technological processes. PM, whose size does not exceed 1-2 µm has a particularly detrimental effect when inhaled by the human respiratory system. For sedimentation of PM of such small fractions, it is not sufficient to use apparatuses based on mechanical separation. However, the single application of other technologies, such as electrostatic and fiber filters, has its own operating limitations depending on the concentration of pollutants, microclimatic flow conditions, periodic regeneration, and, based on all this, the necessary optimization of the entire system. This article presents the research of a complex solution for the cleaning from polydisperse PM from 0.2 to 10 um. The flow yield at different centrifugal forces, as well as the corona discharge, to achieve the cleaning level of 90-95% can vary in the range of 250-450 m³/h, with a flow rate of 4.4—7.2 m/s.
