Estimation of airport infrastructure exploitation efficiency by upgraded data envelopment analysis

Abstract

With the increasing number of flights, the airports are forced to develop their infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the market, but the financial resources are limited so not all airports will be developed. The total comparative airport exploitation efficiency (TCAEE) is an important factor in attracting investors, whether it is an investment bank or the government, or a company, or a private investor. This work aims to create and experimentally test an assessment model of the total comparative airport exploitation efficiency (TCAEE) according to partial indicators, which would be applicable in practice to any range of airports, and which can be used to determine how a change in one of the technical parameters affect the exploitation efficiency of a range of airports under the investigation.

Didėjant skrydžių skaičiui, oro uostai siekia priversti plėtoti savo infrastruktūrą, kad patenkinti didėjančius rinkos poreikius, tačiau finansavimo resursai yra riboti ir plėtojami bus ne visi oro uostai. Oro uosto bendrasis palyginamasis eksploatacinis efektyvumas (OUBPEE) yra svarbus veiksnys pritraukiant investuotoją. Šio darbo tikslas – sudaryti ir eksperimentu patikrinti oro uostų bendrojo palyginamojo eksploatacinio efektyvumo pagal dalinius rodiklius įvertinimo modelį, kuris būtų praktiškai pritaikomas bet kuriai oro uostų aibei, ir kuriuo būtų galima naudotis siekiant nustatyti, kaip vieno iš techninių parametrų keitimas įtakoja oro uostų bendrąjį eksploatacinį efektyvumą tiriamos oro uostų aibės atveju.
