Abstract
Direct3D is one of the most important part of a game or a game engine. The Direct3D 12 graphics pipeline ensures smooth graphics display in games in real time. In the first stage of the graphic pipeline (Input-Assembler), the data of the vertices of the objects are read. Vertices can be connected using different types of primitives. The article describes the basic types of primitives and provides an example of their use.
