Abstract

The article presents the main international and Lithuanian legal documents regulating the parameters of stairs in single-family and public buildings related to security. Criteria influencing stair safety are reviewed. Conclusions are presented on too liberal legal documents for individual houses. Recommendations on liability for the installation of unsafe stairs have been proposed.
