Abstract
Fire safety is an essential element of a building’s fire protection. A variety of measures can be taken to improve fire safety in façade systems. Additionally, all stakeholders should be consulted when designing the façade system to ensure that all legal regulations are taken into account. The purpose of the research is to test the polystyrene foam produced in Lithuania for façade insulation systems and its flammability with the aim to evaluate the possibilities of use in accordance to legal regulation.
