Abstract
The problematic of repeatability and comparability of measurements of rail wheel vertical load is considered in this article. Real time technical state of rail wheels is measured parameters of wheel/rail interaction and signals about possible damages of wheels are fixed. Railway companies using WILD face the major problem – low reliability due the low repeatability of equipment readings. The problematics of measurement repeatability as like a comparability is unavoidable considering the totally stochastic phenomena of the wheel/rail integration. The results from wheel/rail interaction field measurement are processed in order to assess the repeatability of wheel vertical load detection.
