Analysis of transportation and logistics service quality improvement possibilities in the East–West transport corridor

Equitable access to efficient economic infrastructure and effective public services is essential to achieving the future economic growth. Insufficient transport infrastructure and low quality of transport and logistics service are limiting international accessibility tor goods and passengers are the biggest present problems in the East-West transport corridor. The joint action plan must highlight the service quality improvement areas and components of the transport system, which are important tor the steadily increasing intraregional and transcontinental freight flows. Ihe transportation and logistics service quality management control and key performance indicators are necessary for the effective and efficient management of customer's cargo throughout the transport process in the corridor. The purpose of the current article is to give a partial overview about the quality management of cargo transportation in the W transport corridor. The customers are not fully satisfied with quality of the'service. Use of the Quality contracts along the transportation corridor should be further developed. Service providers must carry out regular self assessment of performance against defined criteria of service with the objective of continually improving the quality of services provided and is prepared in a manner which facilitates independent audit of the service provider’s performance in order o give confidence to customers that the integrity of performance measurement is maintained. Most sensitive service quality parameters and indicators for freight quality service are information, reliability and punctuality. Ihus, the analysis transportation and logistics services quality that affect the interests of the users of the East-West transport corridor remain significant.
