Empirical analysis of the use of mineral wool and insulation boards made from natural wood fibres in timber frame structure

Abstract

The article provides a brief survey of the most widely used the thermal insulation – all kinds of wool in Lithuania and in the European Union. The structure, properties, flammability classes of the mineral wool (stone and glass) and wood wool are represented; the last one is a novelty in Lithuania. SWOT analysis model was created after the technical analysis of the data of empirical insulation materials had been carried out.
