Abstract
Present paper presents an alternative approach for bond, cracking and deformation modelling of RC structures. It is based on the average cracking and deformation behaviour of RC elements rather than bond - slip relationship at local scale. Such approach allows to eliminate the scatter of the results and to o btain consistent results in respect to cracking, deformation and bond - slip behavior. Bond - slip relationship derived from the proposed technique was adopted in the numerical cracking and deformation analysis of RC members. Analyzed examples showed that adeq uate deformational behavior may be obtained for both crack formation and stabilized cracking stages of RC ties.
