Research on the influence of the extension of Rail Baltica to Hamburg on the railway line for the region of Eastern Europe
Abstract
By identifying, which countries will be more or less influenced by the project of the Rail Baltica railway line stretching via them, the ratio of the railway line with the economic indicators of the countries has been analysed, and a method of geometric means was applied for the analysis. The calculation results are compared to the results received in other research. Previous research (quoted in the article) analysed the significance of the railway line Rail Baltica to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (railway line Tallinn-Warsaw), and in the research provided in this article the railway line from Tallinn to Hamburg has been analysed by evaluating its influence on Germany too. The results of this research are compared to the results of the previous research.
