Abstract
Parameter estimation of composite cantilever beams from the free vibration tests is carried out. The applicability of Voigt and Maxwell-Zener solid material models for the modelling of the sandwich core material (PVC foam) is investigated. Free vibration of the beams is measured by optical methods. Identification is performed by two approaches: using the analytical solution and finite element model. Two identification algorithms are applied: extended Kalman filter and least square method.
