This paper presents the research of thermal arc spraying results of two different chemical composition experimental cored wires Fe-Mn-Cr-Mo and Fe-Mn Cr (22,61 %Cr) tribological properties and the effects of structure and phase composition of thermally sprayed coatings. Wear tests were performed with a ASTM G65 - 04 dry sand rubber-wheel and ASTM G75-07- Miller test. The investigation results can be used in determining the thermal arc spraying technological parameters' influence on the obtained coatings' mechanical, physical and tribological properties, and by adjusting the spray parameters it is possible to obtain coatings that meet the requirements of specific operating conditions.
