Measured and calculated vertical transfer of radionuclide 137CS in the Baltic Sea after Chernobyl power pant accident
Abstract
An attempt of theoretic explanation of slow sef-cleaning process from radionuclide 137Cs in the Baltic Sea after Chernobyl Power Plant accident is presented. The calculations were carried out on the base of turbulent diffusion effect. The calculated and measured results discrepancy was obtained. It is shown that only turbulent diffusion can't be the main factors of the self-cleaning process of the Baltic Sea from radionuclide 137Cs.
