Assessment of general trends of railway transport development

Abstract

In the light of international trade patterns it can be claimed that the scope of contemporary trade exceeds the pace of global production development. Countries that have the major impact on the international trade are the USA, the EU, Asian region. Such trends open up possibilities of railway transport sector to integrate into international trade markets. Thus, countries react to the changes in Economy and make relevant decisions to develop railway transport infrastructure. The article assesses general trends of railway transport development in international context.
