The systematic laboratory studies on the roles of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) in the service damage of 17G1S-U steel was subjected. The basic regularities in biocorrosion and morphology of the surface of damaged specimens are found using electron microscopy, and the impact of the inhibitor nature on the degree of protection of steel specimens was evaluated. Some corrosion mechanisms, and protective methods about SRB were also described here.
