Abstract
Today to determine the actual cause of rolling stock derailment (or other accident), investigator use computer software complexes and creates models of railway vehicles and uses software tools for simulation of railway vehicle dynamics. Typical railway accident investigation simulation combines two main steps: at the first stage the simplified models of locomotive and wagons are used for train dynamics simulation. At the second stage the advanced simulation of train dynamics should be created: in a train model along with simplified vehicle models should be included three 3D models of wagons or locomotives.
