Abstract
Acquiring large images it is useful to form the result from several smaller images rather than using expensive equipment, where output is one continuous image. Sometimes it is because of the cost of the equipment, sometimes it is technological limitations. This paper describes the problems of the automatic large image formation by stitching several smaller images. Presented large image formation method allowing joining several image fragments into one big image. Proposed method does not add any artificial distortions to the image and performs stitching of the separately registered medical X-ray images in a fully automatic mode. This paper describes the algorithm for the implementation of the whole method and separate algorithms for calculation of stitching parameters: scale, rotation and disposition.
