Application of the new technologies that save raw materials during the production of PVC pipes
Abstract
The Multilayer technology is used to produce the three layers polyvinylchloride (PVC) pipes that are designed for the outdoor wastewater systems, the inner layer of the PVC pipes is made from the foamed PVC. The pipes that are manufactured according to this technology are lighter, cheaper, with excellent mechanical properties, more accurate dimensions and have high resistance to the mechanical impacts. The main idea of the Multilayer pipe manufacturing technology is the same as the one for the T-beam. The highest stresses are created at the upper and lower part of the pipe wall and the inner layer serves for the binding of these parts. By using the ultimate technology the stiffness of the pipe does not decrease for this construction and the consumer can purchase the pipe of the same properties, but for the lower price. By using this technology the raw materials are saved and at the same time the advantages of the conventional flat wall pipe are preserved. The paper describes the pipe extrusion technologies. There is also the evaluation of the parameters of the produced pipes, whether these parameters comply with all the strongest standard EN 1401-1 requirements.
