Abstract
Logistics serves as an economic engine for many countries in the world. Logistics is largely dependent on human resources, and a major challenge is to find these resources. The logistics sector is challenged by a number of problems that arise from mismanagement, as well as from particular characteristics of human resources. This paper shows that the greatest shortcomings of employees in Lithuanian logistics sector are the inability to detect, analyze and solve arising problems; inability to plan activities; and lack of foreign language skills. The paper analyzes these and other issues related to the challenges of human resources in the global market.
