For this purpose, literature review was conducted in order to identify the nature of animation enterprises and the matter of global market. Authors conducted a quantitative questionnaire with eighteen enterprises from Lithuanian animation industry. Drawing from the empirical evidence, it was found out that there is a considerable gap between the industry’s demand and what graduates can provide at the start of their career. This paper aims to contribute to better understanding of industry’s modern needs and to provide evidence to Lithuanian education institutions and its policy makers what curriculum changes or adjustments should be made to address these problems.
