Miesto ir uosto teritorijų santykio pokytis Klaipėdos urbanistinės plėtros aspektu
Santrauka
A watwerfront is a major factor in the physical and economic develop-ment of many cities. New port technologies and lager ships are typical fac-tors which have made the waterfronts available for redevelopment. The port economics and competition among ports have forced the relocation of har-bour facilities to deeper waters and sites that offer better transport links. The same changes are going on in Klaipėda city, and the only way to make them faster is to convince of it private structures, municipality and government. Anyway the process will go on by itself. It means that it is ne-cessary to point to the main goals in the redevelopment of port structures: to describe the new size and place of the harbour and develop an urban pro-gram for redundant port territories.
