Abstract
In an application domain or ontology, to which business rules belong, they are defined in natural language. But rule expressions in natural language have some disadvantages, like redundancy, incompleteness, inconsistency, etc. As a result, it is limiting an implementation of business rules in information systems. Template-based development of a rule model is not a new issue in business rule topic. The authors of this paper analyze the opportunity to use templates for rules definition and propose a template-based approach for rules transformation into SQL triggers. In order to achieve this purpose Protege tool was chosen and the experiment of using custom templates for the definition of rules and automation of their implementation is carried out.
