The article describes the calculation methodology of working cycle parameters of engines operating on multicomponent mixture. The calculation methodology of the state of the working substance is studied as an open thermodynamic system. It enables to develop the working cycle model as sub models of the following processes as gas exchange processes, compression process and combustion-expansion processes. The processes occurring in the diesel engine operating on multicomponent diesel-ethanol fuel mixture are modelled in this article. The mathematical models of gas exchange processes, compression process and combustion-expansion processes are shown in this article.
