Abstract
A design solution, traditional or novel, will always need a quantitative base for testing and evaluation of its performance. New technologies are rarely applied because of a lack of knowledge at the decision makers : state, building owners an residents, designers builders, manufacturers, insurers, etc. Yet those of them, having reliable information on innovative technologies tend to realize these technologies more often. Therefore it is important to provide them with profound knowledge including advantages and disadvantages, priority, utility factor and market value of analyzed retrofit technologies. In this paper is presented multi-attribute assessment tool that implements a rational, systemic technique for selecting cost-effective sustainable building renovation. The tool is based on the investigation of indoor microclimate before and after retrofit.
