Full digitization and electrification of the Global transport chain, including transport means and processes, is already happening and will eventually overtake the entire transport chain. A detailed analysis of scientific work is provided in this article. All the main stevedoring process are analysed: container handling from the ship, transportation from ship to stack, stack handling. Continuous handling includes complete automation of processes of lifting, lowering, transporting and storing loads i.e. optimal management of dynamic processes in real-time by evaluating external and internal factors. The main problems of container transportation management processes were identified and problems of the container handling identified for further investigations solutions of them were introduced.
